what is a web template?
A web template is a pre-designed general layout which is used as a basis for your site. Your own logo, content, photographs and colours will be used, so although a template determines the basic layout, each design is individually customised.
You will need to supply all content in electronic format: text (Word or Powerpoint files are fine), a logo and photos if you have any. We can assist with logo design, provide photographs and graphics or type your content from a hard copy for an additional fee.
how much does a web template cost?
As freelance designers we are able to produce work at much lower rates than a web design agency.
Prices start from just £100 for a one page business card website and includes free hosting and your own co.uk domain name for one year.
single page or business card site
The single page website would be ideal for a smaller business wanting to provide a point of contact on the web or for putting your CV online.
It is also useful for a start-up company to have a business card site with general information about their services available on the internet before a full site has been built.
Even with just one page you will be able to include your business on search engines and use business name specific email addresses so your business can be found online 24/7.
A single page website solution will include all the basic contact information you would find in a Yellow Pages advertisement for a fraction of the cost!
Information on one page sites can include:
- Your company name and logo
- A description of your services
- Up to 2 photographs
- Contact details - name, address, link to your email, telephone, mobile and fax numbers, link to Streetmap
One page microsites can be designed and published in just five days.
A single web page can be upgraded to a full scale website, should the need arise in the future.
multi-page business site (2-15 pages)
This would generally include the following pages:
- Home - The first page your visitors see, a general introduction to the site
- About - More detail on your site or company
- Contact - How to contact you for more information (a form-based contact page which sends information directly to your email account)
and several information pages, the content of which would depend on the purpose of your site, they may contain details of products, services or information on the website subject.
Business sites can be designed and published in seven to ten days.
